Warm weather outdoor wear for play + work in the Kootenays!
• Shirts, tech T’s, tanks + bras
• Pants, shorts, skirts + dresses

• Hats, sunglasses, bags, + accessories
• Sandals, runners, approach shoes + hiking boots
BIKING
Modern mtb/gravel apparel + accessories
• Riding apparel (anything padded must be NEW with tags)
• MTB (flat-style) & gravel shoes in great shape
• Bikepacking bags + accessories
• Hip & hydration packs
• Useful (& fun!) bike accessories: saddles, tools, bottle cages, baskets, bells, etc
RUNNING
Warm weather running gear
• Running vests & hydration packs
• Technical layers
• Shorts, hats, windbreakers
• Trail shoes in great shape (top 1/3 of life left)
• Road shoes (same deal)
CAMPING / HIKING / BACKPACKING
Summer packs + camping accessories
• Daypacks + backpacks (<70L)
• Backpacking accessories, headlamps + small camp bits
• Summer sleeping bags (freshly washed)
• Sleeping pads (must be brought in FULLY INFLATED)
• Modern tents (clean + with all parts)
WATER / BEACH
• Swim shorts + bathing suits (no bottoms unless new with tags)
• Beach accessories (coolers, chairs, beach bags)
• Dry bags + cases
• Paddling apparel + footwear
CLIMBING
• Climbing apparel + shoes (no major wear)
• Chalk bags, bouldering pads, packs + accessories
TRAVEL / MISC

The Consignment Process
Our focus at Free Time is current outdoor clothing, gear, + accessories from quality brands. We like to keep the shop relevant and full of useful, fun stuff people are excited about. Read on for our intake guidelines!
CONSIGNMENT 101
1. You bring your items in
2. We take what we think will sell + set an initial price
3. Items have 3 months to sell (the price drops by 10% every 30 days)
4. Your portion of the proceeds is added to your account when your items sell
5. You can request an e-transfer payout on our website or spend the credit like cash on new gear at Free Time
GEAR EXPECTATIONS
The basics:
- From a quality, known outdoor brand.
- Freshly washed. Dog-hair & mud-free. Clean. Complete. Functional.
- No smells, broken zippers, or rips (small, well-made repairs ok).
- Roughly 10 years old or newer (some exceptions for retro apparel).
The Official 2026 NO LIST
If it’s on the list, it’s not selling, which tells us people aren’t looking for it.
For 2026 we are NOT accepting:
- Loose bike components — no forks, brakes/shifters, drivetrain parts, or used tires (most MTB/gravel saddles, flat pedals, + clean bike accessories like bags, bottle cages, baskets, etc still ok!)
- SUP boards, kayaks, inflatables or other water vessels
- Road bike jerseys/shoes (gravel/MTB stuff still ok!)
- Bike racks or cargo/cross bars for vehicles
- Water filters (unless brand new in packaging)
- Most electronics (unless brand new in packaging)
- Most wetsuits (unless current and in like-new condition)
How much do I make?
The amount you earn is based on the selling price of each consigned item (i.e. a jacket priced at $100 = $50 to you)
$1 - $150: 50% - 50% split
$151 - $300: 60% your way
$301 - $450: 70% your way
$451+: 80% your way
Payouts
Payouts are processed every Friday. Credit stays eligible for cash payout for up to 1 year after an item sells, after which, it becomes eligible for use as in-store credit only.
